Hi, my name is Elena.
I have a degree in Oriental studies, specializing in Chinese culture.
I have a Cambridge Proficiency degree in English.
I am a licensed Travel guide and Tour leader in English.
Migration, bilingualism and multiculturalism have always been part of my family’s vocabulary through generations and it is from here that I started, I found my roots and inspiration for my personal research in other People’s cultures.
They say I am an explorer both of the natural and human world.
I learned English at The Memorial Elementary School in Framingham (Mass) USA.
There I became passionate of reading books… a wonderful way to start a child’s journey through the world in a time when we didn’t have the internet.
On the one side, growing bilingual, made me feel a little different from the other children but it also opened my life to many opportunities which I couldn’t even envisage!
Just to mention a few….
I was employed by Ferrari, the most famous car manufacturer in the world and years later I could travel to China for a field research for my University Thesis.
My knowledge of Chinese was poor, but luckily I could interview many cultured Chinese people speaking in English!
